These printing instructions are for any
Win9x system (or above,) and they're just for how to extract
the text from any web-page. If you need instructions on how
to print the entire page without the pictures, etc. running
over the margins, go
here.
Extracting and printing text:
1. Open a text editor. Anything like Word, Corel Wordperfect,
Notepad, or Winword will do.
2. On the page you want to print in your browser, left-click
your mouse in an open area just before the text. Now drag your mouse
all the way down as far as it'll take you before it stops highlighting
text (or as far as you wanted to go in the text.)
2. Do either of the following:
a) Let off of the left-hand button on the mouse now
and either press "Control-c" (that means hold down the "control"
button and then tap the "c" button once. Then let off of the
"Control" button.)
or
b) right-click the area you just highlighted with your
mouse, then click "copy" in the little options menu that pops
up.
3. You've now copied some text. Go
to the text editor you chose in step number 1 and click inside the page
where you want the text. Anywhere is fine. Now do one of the following:
a) press "control-v" (hold "control,"
tap "v" once, let go of "control" again.)
or
b) right click in the document, and click "paste."
4. Voila! You've transferred all the text into your own
document, and you can do with as you see fit! Bask in the glow of your
Internet aptitude! Now save your document or print it, or whatever you
want to do with it!
